Firefox Web Developer Toolbar available for Google Chrome

Since Googles browser "Chrome" outdated Firefox in many important characteristics, such as speed and usability I would prefer to use Google Chrome now as the default browser for web development. There was a reason that has prevented me from doing so: the "Web Developer" toolbar for Firefox had become an indispensable tool in my daily work with web sites.

Thanks to the official port of the Firefox extension the "Web Developer" toolbar is finally available on Google Chrome now. Many thanks to the developer Chris Pederick for the great work!

You can install the extension from the official Web Developer website.

Open "Computer" or "Documents" instead of "Libraries" in Windows 7

A click on the Windows Explorer icon in Windows 7 usually opens the "Libraries" folder. If you want to open another folder with the icon, use the following locations in the icon properties window.

• If you want "Computer" instead of "Libraries":
  %windir%\explorer.exe /e,::{20d04fe0-3aea-1069-a2d8-08002b30309d}
 
• If you want "Documents" instead of "Libraries":

Linked Data - The key to improve human life

Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the "Web", talks about the next logical step in the progress of mankind. People should no longer keep their data and knowledge for themselves and lock to others, but let everyone participate. Only in this way data of the entire humanity can be linked and lead to new insights for the entire humanity.

In my opinion, data liberation does not necessarily mean giving up any privacy. Rather, it is the courage of giving up this dogma of the right of privacy gradually for the benefit of all, a liberation of the individual.
